Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry

SMPC youth ministry exists to cultivate a living faith, a lifelong Christian walk, and a love for Christ’s church in the youth of Spring Meadows Presbyterian Church.

Our youth ministry is designed to pour into the lives of middle and high school students. We believe that Christians mature in their faith through discipleship, so our desire is for mature Christians to come alongside our youth to disciple them.

Youth ministry is led by Assistant Pastor Christian Bland. For more information about our youth ministry, contact Christian.

Sunday school

Every Sunday before our worship service, our middle and high school students gather for Sunday School (9:30–10:15 AM). Sunday School lessons are centered around Scripture, with the goal of teaching students what we believe and why we believe it.

Mid-week Bible Study

In addition to weekly Sunday School classes, we get together regularly for a Youth Bible Study. This is a time of fellowship, fun, discipleship, diving deeper into biblical doctrine, and apologetically interacting with differing beliefs, religions, and arguments. Our current series is on Foundations of the Faith: The Apostles’ Creed. There’s always time for plenty of questions and discussion–it’s never too late to join!

Our regular Youth Bible Study meetings are on break for the summer, but special summer events will be announced soon!

Southwest Reformed Youth Camp

In recent years, some of our youth have attended the Southwest Reformed Youth Camp. This is an opportunity for students to deepen their knowledge of Jesus and God’s Word, as well as grow in their faith, hope, and love. But this youth camp is unique, since it gives students the chance to meet and build friendships with Christians from other Reformed and Presbyterian churches in our region. This year’s focus will be on Guilt, Grace, and Gratitude. Speakers include Rob Olson, Dr. Craig Troxel, Pastor Daniel Ventura, and Pastor Derek Rishmawy.

In 2024, the Southwest Reformed Youth Camp will be hosted at Palomar Christian Conference Center, August 5 – 9. Click here to register!
