Sunday school
At Spring Meadows Presbyterian Church, we believe that the promise of the Gospel is for us and for our children (Acts 2:39). We take the religious education of our children seriously, cooperating with parents to raise our covenant children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
The main way we do this is in Sunday School class, every Sunday at 9:30 AM. We offer classes for the following ages: Pre-kindergarten, kindergarten to 2nd grade, and 3rd to 5th grade.
SMPC Children’s Ministry is pleased to offer a nursery for children ages 0–2 during the Sunday School hour (9:30–10:15 AM) and Worship Service (10:30–12:00).

Vacation Bible School

Every summer, we hold a Vacation Bible School for our covenant children and visitors, offering a week of fun activities, crafts, and Bible lessons. Our hope is that children will leave VBS with a greater understanding of the Gospel, a deeper trust in Christ, and an enduring affection for Christ’s Church.
Communicant class
Our hope is for all our covenant children to grow in maturity and in understanding of Christ their Savior. When a covenant child is ready to publicly confess faith in Jesus for his salvation, he becomes communing members of Spring Meadows Presbyterian Church, with all the rights and privileges of any other member. This particularly means that he is welcomed to the Lord’s Table, for the nourishment of his faith.
In order to help our covenant children make this step, we periodically hold Communicant Classes. These classes are designed to help equip children to profess their faith and to understand the importance of the Lord’s Supper and how to worthily partake of it. After the class, if a covenant child is ready to profess his faith and partake of the Supper, he will be interviewed by some of our elders. For more information, please contact Ruling Elder Ed Kelley.
